The Gatineau Hills have virtually guaranteed snow, making your horseback riding adventure a winter wonderland vacation like no other. Winter is a time when you can literally bring the whole family. Infants can ride in the sleigh with Grandpa, while Grandma and the adventurous teens can ride alongside on horseback! Sleigh Ride at Captiva Farms ImageWinter in Canada is simply not complete without a sleighride. Bundle up the family, or take the corporate team to Captiva Farms for your next strategy session! We have 2 sleighs available: the large sleigh seats 15 adults, and the velvet lined cutter sleigh seats 4 adults, plus an extra person in the front. The best time for family horseback riding? Winter is the best time to take the whole family horseback riding. Period. Infants or grandparents can ride the cutter sleigh, while the more adventurous can ride alongside on their own horse. Take advantage of the infinite terrain that Canadian winter offers, and bring everyone out to Captiva Farms this year for a the most memorable winter activity possible.

Winter Group Events

We will design special group events especially for you! Take the sting out of winter, by getting into the great outdoors at Captiva Farms. We lead our horses down protected trails, to minimize wind and weather exposure. Come back to the farm afterwards for hot chocolate and coffee, or visit the nearby village of Wakefield for an award-winning meal at one of a dozen excellent restaurants or cafés. Code of Conduct and Dress Code

Proper attire must be worn: shoe with a small heel, pants (no shorts/skirts) and for all children under the age of 16 and under a proper riding helmet is required. For winter, please dress appropriately for the season. We have helmets at the farm and would be happy to provide you with one. Zero tolerance for individuals under the influence of drugs or alcohol. If you have a disability, kindly ensure to mention it when making your reservation so that we may determine whether riding is an activity that can be safely offered to you.
